Adai Dosa

Classic Adai Dosa recipe by Sivagami Amma's Kitchen, all the way from GangaiKondan (Tamil Nadu). This batter is rich with Proteins from Lentils (Toor, Channa & Moong dal) and rice. This is extremely flavourful and tasty.

Equipment

  • 1 Pair of Scissors
  • 1 Dosa Tawa
  • 1 Laddle
  • 1 Knife & chopping board

Materials

  • ½ cup Chopped Onion
  • Coriander leaves – Fresh
  • Green Chillies (Optional)
  • Salt (to taste)
  • Cooking oil (for dosa making)
  • Cooking Oil, Mustard seeds & Curry leaf for tadka (optional for more flavour)

Instructions

Prepration

  • Shift the batter to a bowl.
  • Allow the batter to Normalise to room temperature (10-20 mins max)
  • Meanwhile prepare the veggies and add it to the batter
  • Add salt & chillies as per your taste
  • Tadka / Ogrenne / Thalippu: With mustard seeds & currly leaves (optional)

Cooking

  • Pour and spread the prepared Adai batter on hot tawa
  • Keep it thick (finger thick)
  • Cover with lid to cook faster
  • Turn the dosa and cook both side to golden color.

Serve Hot with your favourite chutney

    Notes

    Batter pack contains:
    • Asafetida / Hing
    • Ground nut oil
     
    NOTE: A tadka of mustard seeds and curry leaf can be added to batter to enhance the flavour.
