Adai Dosa
Classic Adai Dosa recipe by Sivagami Amma's Kitchen, all the way from GangaiKondan (Tamil Nadu). This batter is rich with Proteins from Lentils (Toor, Channa & Moong dal) and rice. This is extremely flavourful and tasty.
Equipment
- 1 Pair of Scissors
- 1 Dosa Tawa
- 1 Laddle
- 1 Knife & chopping board
Materials

- ½ cup Chopped Onion
- Coriander leaves – Fresh
- Green Chillies (Optional)
- Salt (to taste)
- Cooking oil (for dosa making)
- Cooking Oil, Mustard seeds & Curry leaf for tadka (optional for more flavour)
Instructions
Prepration
- Shift the batter to a bowl.
- Allow the batter to Normalise to room temperature (10-20 mins max)
- Meanwhile prepare the veggies and add it to the batter
- Add salt & chillies as per your taste
- Tadka / Ogrenne / Thalippu: With mustard seeds & currly leaves (optional)
Cooking
- Pour and spread the prepared Adai batter on hot tawa
- Keep it thick (finger thick)
- Cover with lid to cook faster
- Turn the dosa and cook both side to golden color.
Serve Hot with your favourite chutney
