It’s been 3 years we started. This is the first year post COVID we have the freedom to do things we always wanted to do.
Make what we are best at to people that really matters.

Ruva foundation charitable trust homes orphaned kids and many come from underprivileged and homeless. This beautiful place is near us. It is full of hope and cheers. Kids look happy.
With Hara’s contribution, interest and heart we send Idli batter every week for the kids. Idlis are easy to look for mass. Have large idli vessel and cook many in a shot. We wanted to feed the. Somthing that have not had the taste of. Palappam – a sweet and sour rice cake. This bowl shaped breakfast is soft in the centre, lacy and crispy edges.

It goes well with most curries and stew. For the kids we made a live appam counter at the ashram, paired with sweetened coconut milk and Mandya style chicken curry (prepared by Shoba- Ruva’s in-house cook)

Kids thoroughly enjoyed the meal, few did mentioned this was the first time they ate appam and they love it. Here are some pictures that say the rest.
Sorry to disappoint you, we didn’t want to take pictures of kids eating. Felt that would be weird.
